    Ordering from the e-shop

How quickly will the tea ordered from the online store reach me?

We ship orders as soon as possible. Typically, ordered packages reach you within 4-7 business days

How can I use a discount code in your online store?

Once you have selected all the flavorful tea blends you want and added them to your cart, you will see a small window labeled “Coupon Code” just below the selected teas on the “cart” page. Do you also offer loose-leaf tea?

Ly’s Garden has sold loose-leaf tea for a long time, but since our berry teas consist of multiple components, it’s challenging to achieve a consistent flavor every time — sometimes too berry-like, other times too minty. Therefore, we have now chosen to focus on tea blends in pyramid bags. However, a few teas are still available as loose-leaf on our website.

What is the difference between Focus and Concenration tea?

Mind Focus is a naturally invigorating tea made with Sencha green tea, ginger, and lemongrass. Green tea contains caffeine, so Mind Focus is not a caffeine-free stimulant. If you want to achieve focus and stimulation without caffeine, Concentration tea is a better choice: a naturally energizing blend of ginger, peppermint, and Ceylon cinnamon.

Is there tea that could replace coffee?

Both Mind Focus and Concentration Tea are great for an afternoon boost and to help you concentrate.

When can we expect new teas?

We are constantly working on new ideas. Pyramid bag and
    tea making

Why do you use pyramid bags?

We have chosen a higher-priced, higher-quality filter bag material. The filter material’s certification indicates that no substances leach into the tea water. Our choice has always been a product that is harmless to people.

Tea bags made from non-GMO corn, rather than nylon, are less harmful because they do not contain glue particles or chemically bleached paper materials. We also consider the convenience of use provided by pyramid bags and aim to maintain consistently exquisite flavor qualities, as each pyramid bag contains a precise amount of herbs and freeze-dried berries according to our own recipe.

For those who do not want to use the filter bag, it can be cut open. This will ensure the correct tea recipe for 200 ml of water.

Is it okay to prepare tea with boiling water?

Each of our tea boxes indicates the recommended water temperature for brewing: for the best tea experience, use water at 90°C.

Should I remove the tea bag from the cup, and if so, when?

Although it might be surprising, you actually don’t have to remove our tea bags from the cup! 🙂

The only exception is when drinking Peppermint Tea. Peppermint leaves contain a small amount of tannins, so we recommend not leaving the pyramid bag in the cup for too long (you should remove the tea bag after about ten minutes).

    Our teas

Where do your herbs come from?

All our tea herbs grow in the pure nature, away from major roads and industries, on our own farm fields. We operate here as a small family business.

We have plenty of experience ensuring that the best aroma and flavor of both peppermint and other herbs reach your cup in their purest form!

We believe that Ly’s Garden tea is not just a cup of hot drink. Our tea is a ticket to a magical journey of flavors, a moment for yourself amidst a busy day. Take this moment with a flavorful tea by your side.

Why do you grow tea herbs organically?

Did you know that most large producers use chemicals to remove weeds? We truly grow our tea herbs organically, without artificial fertilizers or pesticides, because we value both the health of our domestic soil and your health as our tea consumer.

Where do the berries used in the tea blends come from?

All the berries used in our tea blends come from Europe. Each batch of berries is selected based on the best flavor. Therefore, we ensure that our teas always have a truly berry-like taste.

Why do you use freeze-dried berries?

Freeze-drying is the best method to preserve almost 100% of the berry’s nutrients, aroma, color, and flavor.

Read more about freeze-drying in the following question.

    What does freeze-drying mean?

Freeze-drying is an ideal method for preserving the nutritional value of berries. The berries are quickly frozen, and then, in a low-pressure environment (vacuum), the ice crystals formed during freezing are slowly warmed to remove them. The evaporated ice is directed away from the berries without turning into water, which keeps the cell structure of the freeze-dried berries intact. This process preserves up to 98% of the nutritional value, as well as the flavor, aroma, and color of the berries.

Since the entire freeze-drying process occurs below 40°C, the freeze-dried berries are considered raw food. No colorants, flavorings, preservatives, or sugars are added to the freeze-dried berries.

Why do some peppermint teas taste bitter?

Many tea producers grind the entire peppermint plant into a fine tea blend, including both leaves and stems. We, however, carefully pluck the leaves from the stems of our peppermint plants and use only gently crushed peppermint leaves in our blends. The stems contain a lot of tannins, which can make the tea taste overly bitter or astringent quickly. Our tea maintains a pleasantly crisp flavor and never becomes too bitter or harsh.

NB! Note that there are also a small amount of tannins in peppermint leaves, so we recommend not leaving the peppermint tea pyramid bag in the cup for too long (you should remove the tea bag after about ten minutes).

Are artificial flavors or fragrances added to your tea blends?

At Ly’s Garden, we use only naturally sourced herbs and berries in our teas. The herbs come from our own fields, and all the berries are sourced from European farmers. Simplicity is key — we do not use any additives or laboratory-created flavors or fragrances in our tea blends.

If you have ever opened a tea bag from a large tea producer, you might have noticed that the berry flavor and aroma often come from tiny crystals. These provide the flavor and scent to the tea, which without sweeteners can be quite bitter and hot for many people.

We highly recommend trying a small taste experiment: compare a Ly’s Garden berry tea with one from a large producer. Comparing the taste, color, aroma, and composition of the teas side by side should give you some food for thought for your future tea choices.

Do you add sugar to your teas?

No sugar is added to any of our tea blends. For a touch of sweetness in some blends, we use genuine stevia leaves.

What is the shelf life of your tea blends?

The shelf life of our tea blends is two years.

How quickly should I use the contents of an opened tea box?

Always close the package carefully after removing a tea bag, as moisture and oxygen can reduce the aromatic compounds. For the best flavor experience, we recommend consuming the contents of an opened tea box within 30 days, though the tea remains enjoyable even after 30 days.
